Woodstock, VA: June 6, 2022: WHO WILL LET THE DOGS OUT (“WALDO”) launches 2022 rescue shelter tour to rural animal shelters in 7 states.
WALDO is an animal shelter advocacy nonprofit devoted solely to raising awareness about the state of poor, rural shelters throughout the south (whowillletthedogsout.org). Our mission is to raise awareness and resources for homeless dogs and the heroes who fight for them. Since 2018, WALDO has visited over 75 needy, mostly rural shelters and told the stories of the thousands of adoptable animals who are suffering and dying senselessly. These shelter tours are just the beginning of our work. Afterwards, we assist shelters to apply for grants, connect them with resources and best practices, and act as their advocate to help them become self-sustaining shelters as well as valuable resources for their communities.
