FROM 12:01 A.M. MARCH 10, 2021; THRU TO 11:59 P.M. MARCH 26, 2021 (17 DAYS), AT LEAST 120 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, & MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE.
OUT OF THOSE 120 ARRESTS, 25 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.
 
SEPARATELY, 7 LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENT WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN ANOTHER KENTUCKY COUNTY JURISDICTIONS (3 IN JOHNSON COUNTY, 2 IN ROWAN COUNTY [1 OF WHOM WHICH WAS ARRESTED IN ELLIOTT COUNTY], 1 IN PIKE COUNTY, AND 1 IN CASEY COUNTY KENTUCKY). 
PREVIOUSLY; FROM 12:01 A.M. FEBRUARY 9, THRU TO 11:59 P.M. MARCH 9, 2021 (29 DAYS), AT LEAST 161
PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, & MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE.
OUT OF THOSE 161 ARRESTS, 42 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.
SEPARATELY, 5 LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS MADE UP 6 ARRESTS, ALONG WITH 2 PEOPLE WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN ANOTHER KENTUCKY COUNTY JURISDICTION FOR PAROLE VIOLATION CHARGES FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY (3 IN CARTER COUNTY, 2 IN MARTIN  COUNTY,  1 IN PIKE COUNTY, 1 IN GREENUP COUNTY, AND 1 IN LOGAN COUNTY KENTUCKY). 

 

 

THE NUMBER OF INMATES THAT WERE BEING HOUSED AT THE BSRDC IN PAINTSVILLE AS OF 11:59 P.M., SATURDAY, MARCH 27, 2021, WAS 164.
 
HERE ARE THE LATEST TWENTY-FIVE ARRESTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, ALONG WITH THE SEVEN ARRESTED IN OTHER KENTUCKY COUNTIES, ARE AS THE FOLLOWING:


Paul J. Jones, 41, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on March 12, 2021, at 3:24 P.M.,by deputy Tyler Laney, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER, • DEFECTIVE BRAKES, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED.
 
Elouise Scott, 37, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on March 12, 2021, at 5:43 P.M., by patrolman officer Teddy B. Newsome, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR.
 

Joyce A. Elkins, 53, of Dunlow,West Virginia; was arrested on March 15, 2021, at 6:25 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/ $500.


John R. Childers, 43, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on March 16, 2021, at 11:00 A.M.,by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with: • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY.
 

Adam N. Perry, 42, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on March 16, 2021, at 3:27 P.M., by patrolman officer Teddy B. Newsome, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).
 

Aaron W. Maynard, 27, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on March 17, 2021, at 8:40 P.M., by patrolman officer Teddy B. Newsome, of the Louisa Police Department, & was charged with, via a grand jury indictment: • POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON, • FAILURE TO APPEAR.

Michael Boyd, 30, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on March 19, 2021, at 12:15 A.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY.

April Steele, 30, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on March 19, 2021, at 12:29 A.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY, • ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A MINOR.


Misty D. Blevins, 33, of Louellen, Kentucky; was arrested on March 19, 2021, at 7:22 A.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-3RD DEGREE (2 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS).

Christopher E. Hall, 35, of Martha,Kentucky; was arrested on March 22, 2021, at 11:22 P.M., by patrolman officer Teddy B.
