CITY OF LOUISA UPDATE- FEB 21, 9:30AM –
SANITATION– Unfortunately we were not able to get everyones garbage on the trucks yesterday (saturday). The increased amount trash from spoiled food items, limited workforce, and, no way to dump on weekends set us back a day. WE ARE FINISHING THAT ROUTE TODAY (Sunday) to the extent of what truck capacity we have. We expect to finish the route today and be back on schedule tomorrow.
Starting tomorrow evening ( Monday afternoon) if you have s special situation with trash needs call us and we’ll try our best to take care of it.
WASTEWATER – Folks in RT 3 North are between Hardee’s and Five Forks, that’s on city sewer grinder stations and been without power, we are beginning to pump each one with portable truck. This operation started yesterday evening until dark and resuming today. We had to first get the roads prepared so that tanker could get there which happened yesterday. Be PATIENT , as this is a daunting task but we felt the need to accomplish it not knowing the power restoration time in that area. ALL OTHER SEWER LIFT STATIONS ARE ONLINE AND WORKING PROPERLY.
WATER- All water customers serviced by Louisa Water should be restored. If you are not please call. Outlying areas serviced by Big Sandy Water and Rattlesnake Ridge are slowly coming back online but I don’t have specifics. Fort Gay is still experiencing electrical/pump issues and working diligently on a solution.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL OUTSIDE TODAY- As we thaw out ice will be falling from buildings, trees , and power lines please be careful.
