LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – JULY 18-29, 2020

FROM 12:01 A.M., JULY 18 THRU TO 11:59 P.M. JULY 29, (12 DAYS) THERE HAVE BEEN AT LEAST 88 PEOPLE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, & MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE.

17 OF THOSE ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.

SEPARATELY, FOUR LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES (1 IN BOYD COUNTY, 2 IN MARTIN COUNTY, AND 1 IN JOHNSON COUNTY). ALSO, A GREENUP COUNTY RESIDENT WAS ARRESTED BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES THERE AND WAS EVENTUALLY WAS BROUGHT TO THE BSRDC IN PAINTSVILLE FOR A WARRANT OUT OF LAWRENCE COUNTY.

PREVIOUSLY, FROM 12:01 A.M., JULY 3 THRU TO 11:59 P.M. JULY 17, (15 DAYS) THERE HAVE BEEN AT LEAST 142 PEOPLE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, & MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, & WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE. 18 OF THOSE ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.SEPARATELY,8 LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES (1 IN BOYD COUNTY, 1 IN ROWAN COUNTY, 2 IN MARTIN COUNTY, AND 4 IN JOHNSON COUNTY).

THE NUMBER OF INMATES THAT WERE HOUSED AT THE BSRDC IN PAINTSVILLE AS OF 5:00 P.M., THURSDAY JULY 30, THERE WERE 174 INMATES.

HERE ARE THE LATEST SEVENTEEN ARRESTED IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, ALONG WITH THE FOUR OUT OF COUNTY ARRESTED, PLUS ONE WHO WAS ARRESTED IN ANOTHER COUNTY AND BROUGHT BACK TO FACE WARRANT CHARGE IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, ARE AS THE FOLLOWING:

Sara Bellomy, 37, of Huntington,West Virginia; was arrested on July 19,2020, at 2:27 A.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:

• OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE,

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.

 

Donald D. Adams, 48, of Louisa, was arrested on July 20, 2020, at 9:37 A.M., by Sheriff Chuck Jackson, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• ROBBERY, 1ST DEGREE.

Bryar C. Davis, 23, of Louisa, was arrested on July 20, 2020, at 8:48 P.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,& was charged with:

• ASSAULT,4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY,

• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3RD DEGREE.

Diana Jude, 30, of Dunlow, West Virginia; was arrested on July 20, 2020, at 9:05 P.M., by detective Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE DATING VIOLENCE (MINOR INJURY).

Abigail B. Pinson, 56, of Louisa, was arrested on July 20, 2020, at 10:07 P.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,& was charged with:

• ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSES),

• MENACING,

• RESISTING ARREST.

Chester Blevins Jr., 53, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on July 22, 2020, at 12:04 P.M., by court security officer of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• IMPORTING HEROIN,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (COCAINE)-[3 SEPARATE COUNT CHARGES].

Julia C McKinster, 44, of Louisa, was arrested on July 22,2020,at 1:24 P.M.,by patrolman officer Teddy B. Newsome,of the Louisa Police Department,& was charged with:

• FAILURE TO APPEAR, CITATION FOR MISDEMEANOR (4 SEPARATE COUNT CHARGES).

Corbie A. Fyffe, 57, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on July 22, 2020, at 8:51 P.M.,by Constable Daniel Castle, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 3, & was charged with:

• POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN MOTOR VEH PROHIBITED,

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,

• POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE,

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/ INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 2ND OFFENSE,

• NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT,

• LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION,

• IMPROPER OR NO WINDSHIELD.

Trenton Young, 20, of Webbville, Kentucky; was arrested on July 22,2020, at 8:52 P.M.by deputy Derek Hinkle, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:

• ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE).

Matthew Salyers, 32, of Morehead, Kentucky; self surrendered and was taken into custody and was booked on July 23, 2019, at 12:25 P.M., in the Lawrence County Court, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty jail sentence plea:

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

Larry J. Maynard, 46, of Louisa; self surrendered and was taken into custody and was booked on July 23, 2019, at 12:26 P.M., in the Lawrence County Court, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty jail sentence plea:

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

Danny Young, 33, of Hagerhill, Kentucky; was arrested on July 11, 2020, at 11:36 P.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (COCAINE),

• RESISTING ARREST,

• RECKLESS DRIVING,

• PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER I,

• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE),

• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (ON FOOT),

• WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER,

• DRIVING DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE – 2ND OFFENSE (AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES),

• WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE (5 SEPARATE COUNT CHARGES),

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE)-[TWO SEPARATE COUNT CHARGES],

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING (ANHYDROUS AMMONIA).

 

Katelyn D Fyffe-Miller, 31, of Louisa, was arrested on July 26, 2020, at 8:57 P.M.,by patrolman officer Michael Housinger, of the Louisa Police Department,& was charged with:

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN).

Troy E. Miller, 36, of Louisa, was arrested on July 26, 2020, at 8:58 P.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County SHERIFF Department, & was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Brett M. Thomas, 30, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on July 27, 2020, at 6:03 P.M.,by patrolman officer Greg Powers, of the Louisa Police Department, & was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• FAILURE TO APPEAR (3 SEPARATE COUNT CHARGES),

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 1 & 2),

• PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER II (3 SEPARATE COUNT CHARGES),

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (<2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIME.

Tammy J. Evans, 48 of Louisa, was arrested on July 27, 2020, at 8:34 P.M.,by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• BURGLARY,1ST DEGREE,

• PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER I,

• RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/$500,

• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3RD DEGREE.

Josh Ray, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on July 27, 2020, at 11:42 P.M., by Trooper Tyler Daniels, of the Kentucky State Police,& was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (DRUG UNSPECIFIED).

James G. Cox, 55, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County, Ky., on July 20, 2020, at 4:05 P.M., by Trooper Daniel G. Vossmer, of the Kentucky State Police-Post 14-Ashland, Ky.,,& was charged with:

• FAILURE TO APPEAR.

James Cox bond was set at $34,348 full cash only; and he has a court appearance in Boyd County Circuit Court on August 5, 2020, at 9:00 A.M.

Clarence J. Harless, 48 of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County, on July 23,2020, at 6:51 A.M.,by deputy David Adams, of the Martin County Sheriff Department,& was charged with:

• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).

William Gordon Newsome, 43 of Greenup, Kentucky; was originally arrested in Greenup County, on July 8, 2020, at 3:42 P.M., by deputy Michael Hogsten, of the Greenup County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• FAILURE TO APPEAR.

William Newsome was transported from the Greenup County Detention Center in Greenup, Ky., to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Ky., in Johnson County, Ky., on July 24, 2020, at 3;18 P.M., on the charge of:

• SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY); on a warrant from Lawrence County on charges of:

• BAIL JUMPING,

• PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER I,

• FAILURE TO APPEAR.

Randall Bowen, 26, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County, Ky.,on July 25, 2020, at 11:42 P.M., by deputy William Tyler Lafferty, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE,

• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA.

Willian M. Hickman, 57, of Louisa, was arrested in Johnson County, Ky., on July 26, 2020, at 11:42 A.M., by Trooper Joseph E. Weddington, of the Kentucky State Police-Post 9-Pikeville, Ky., and was charged with:

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE U/INFL ALC .08 (189A.010(1A) – 2ND OFFENSE (AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES),

• POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITED.
