LOUISA, KY. Lawrence County Schools chief Dr. Rob Fletcher has announced that school for students will resume on Dec. 2 after the Thanksgiving holidays due to a somewhat mysterious explosion in the piping system at Louisa Elementary School early Friday morning.
Fletcher said the school system wants to thoroughly test the pipes at Louisa East as a precautionary measure. The following is a public notice issued by Fletcher on Friday, November 22 T 4:39 PM.:
FROM DR. ROB FLETCHER, SUPT.
A specialized/motorized camera is required to assess thoroughly. The company only had a snake camera today. They contacted Cincinnati, Kenova, and finally got the City of Prestonsburg to allow us use of their system. They said we could use it Monday at 10:00AM..
