LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – JULY 23-29, 2019

In the past 7 period of 12:01 A.M. July 24, 2019, thru to 11:59 P.M. July 29, 2019; there were at least 62 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 62, 14 of those arrested were from Lawrence County

Another 8 Lawrence County residents were arrested in neighboring and other Ky. counties ( 3 in Greenup County, 2 in Johnson County, 1 for Carter County, and 1 in Cumberland County).

That is in comparison to the previous past 7 period of 12:01 A.M. July 17, 2019, thru to 11:59 P.M. July 23, 2019; there were at least 82 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 82, 9 of those arrested were from Lawrence County. Another 7 Lawrence County residents were arrested in neighboring and other Ky. counties ( 3 in Martin County, 2 in Johnson County, and 2 in Boyd County).

There were 223 inmates lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center as of 1:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 30. The maximum designated number of inmates the BSRDC was built to hold is 225.

The names and criminal charges of the latest 14 Lawrence County arrests, as well as the 8 Lawrence County residents who were arrested in other Kentucky counties jurisdictions:

 

Justin Maxie, 37 of Louisa, was arrested on July 24,2019 at 11:40 A.M.,by officer Billy Slone of the Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole, and was charged with:

• PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE).

Sarah E. Debord, 30, of Louisa, was arrested on July 25, 2019, at 1:09 P.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with, via grand jury indictment:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (<10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 1 & 2),

• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE, • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Monica Parks, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on July 25, 2019, at 2:20 P.M., by Sheriff Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE,1ST OFFENSE – (<10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 1 & 2),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Jesse Parks, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on July 25, 2019, at 2:21 P.M., by Sheriff Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE,1ST OFFENSE – (<10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 1 & 2),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

 

Sherry Castle, 37, of Louisa, was arrested on July 25, 2019, at 4:57 P.M., by deputy Cory Cook, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• FAILURE TO APPEAR.

Wallace Kazee, 25, of Louisa, turned himself on July 26, 2019, at 12:04 P.M., at the Lawrence County Court, by the LawrenceCounty Sheriff Department to serve a guilty charge plea:

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

Travis E. Lay, 22, of Louisa, turned himself on July 26, 2019, at 12:25 P.M., at the Lawrence County Court, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty charge plea:

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

Samantha L. Stanford, 37, of Louisa, was arrested on July 26, 2019, at 12:32 P.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with,via a grand jury indictment:

• NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT,

• NO REGISTRATION PLATES,

• FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD (2 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS),

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/ INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.

Felix Cancel, 22, of Louisa, was arrested on July 26, 2019, at 3:06 P.M., by deputy Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE,1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Sammie Pack, 56, of Louisa, was arrested on July 26, 2019, at 6:30 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,and was charged with:

• RECKLESS DRIVING,

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL /DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE

,• POSSESSION A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE,

• CRIMINAL LITTERING.

Kevin R. Patrick, 43, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; was arrested on July 27, 2019, at 4:18 A.M., by constable Paul Wells, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 1, and was charged with:

• SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY).

 

Kaitlyn Jude, 26, of Louisa, was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 2:37 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,and was charged with:

• CARELESS DRIVING,

• FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL,

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL /DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE

 

Jackson Taylor Fitch, 26, Of Kermit, West Virginia; was arrested on July 28,2019, at 3:26 A.M.,by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• RESISTING ARREST,

• UNLAWFUL TRANSACTION WITH/MINOR 3RD DEGREE.

Derek Crum, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 4:58 A.M., by patrolman officer Shane James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE,

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

John Lee Rice, 61, of Louisa, was arrested in Greenup County on July 25, 2019, at 1:03 A.M., by officer Rick Gullett, of the city of Greenup Police Department, and was charged with:

• POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON.

John Rice’s bail bond was set at $5,000 full cash only. Rice remains lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center.

 

William Richard Sammons,, 63, of Louisa, was arrested in Greenup County on July 25,2019, at 2:42 P.M., at the Greenup County Circuit Court, and was charged with:

• MENACING,

• DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 1ST DEGREE.

 

Andrea Lee Shafer, 35, of Adams, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County on July 25, 2019, at 8:56 P.M., by a deputy of the Johnson County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE), • DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 1ST DEGREE.

 

Angela Lynn Rice, 51, of Webbville, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County on July 25, 2019, at 9:07 P.M., by a deputy of the Johnson County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER COURT).

Angela Rice was transferred from the Greenup County Detention Center in the city of Greenup,to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, and was booked on July 26, at 2:56 P.M., on the police bench warrant that was from Lawrence County via the Lawrence County Sheriff Department.

 

Gregory Scot Cavender, 53, of Lomansville, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County on July 2, 2019, at 4:43 P.M., by an officer of the Paintsville Police Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

 

James R. Arthur, 48, of Louisa, was transferred to Carter County Detention Center in Grayson, Ky., on July 29, 2019, at 11:58 A.M., via: PIKE COUNTY KY. TRANSPORT, under the custody of: KENTUCKY U.S. MARSHALS SERVICE, under their auspices operational procedure of: FEDERAL PRISONER HELD-IN TRANSIT/COURT/SERVEOUT

Jefferson Mitchell, 54, of Louisa, was arrested in Cumberland County, Ky., on July 29, 2019, at 5:48 P.M., by officer Keaton Williams, of the city of Burkesville Police Department, and was charged with:

• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL). Mitchell was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.

    A lot for warrants/for old stuff but not much for new charges other than driving offenses. Wonder when they will get out and start busting people for selling drugs and stealing again. Probably won’t…on cruise control!!!
