Trinity Christian Academy is excited about the opening of a new preschool classroom for 3 and 4 year-olds for families with financial need. In order to help families who have parents who are trying to go back to school or who are working low-wage jobs and cannot afford tuition for preschool, Trinity and the Lawrence County Public Schools applied for and was awarded a special Preschool Partnership Grant through the state of Kentucky. If you think you might qualify, based on the guidelines below, your first step is to apply for CCAP (Child Care Assistance Program) through Family Support. The phone number for Family Support is 855-306-8959.

Once you have applied, Family Support will let you know if you have been approved. At that point just let Trinity know, and we will take it from there.
Please note that this preschool class is a 4-day a week program with an option for a 5th day. Monday through Thursday, Lawrence County Public Schools will provide transportation between Louisa West and Trinity. Your child will be provided breakfast and lunch at Louisa West. After lunch is over, the children will be bussed back to Trinity for afternoon activities.
Fridays will operate differently, you are welcome to send your child on Friday’s, however, your child will be exposed to Christian teaching. We have a chapel service in the First Baptist Church at 8:30 am and there will be a Bible lesson. Moreover, because public schools cannot endorse religion, they are unable to provide food or transportation on those days. If you want to bring your child to Trinity on Fridays, please make sure they eat breakfast before they come and either pack a lunch or bring $3 to purchase a meal (which meets nutrition guidelines) from Dee’s Restaurant.
