ELEANOR, W.VA. — After being shut out last week it took Tolsia (1-1 ) only two plays on Friday night as Devin Crum raced 44 yards for a touchdown and the Rebels never looked back in a 36-6 road victory over Buffalo (0-2) in the first ever game at the brand new Buffalo Stadium.
Crum finished with 5 touchdowns total including a brilliant 14 yard touchdown reception from Tanner Copley and the Tolsia defense was stout all game only allowing a Bison touchdown with just over 2:00 left in the ballgame after many of the starters were resting.
Tolsia Senior Captain Brent Setser had a blocked punt, a sack and a fumble recovery. Senior Captain Mason Mann had 2 sacks, a fumble recovery and a bunch of quarterback hurries from his linebacker spot. Peyton Arrington and Josh Wilson both had interceptions.
Tolsia will return to action next Friday when they host Lincoln Co.
Tolsia Head Coach Eric Crum
“… I thought after the first play of the game we played well. The kids really played aggressive tonight and I wasn’t sure they would after last week’s game. Up front we were very good and the defense played tough.”
“… Devin Crum was really good and the line blocked well. Really proud of our guys for the way fought.”
“… We will enjoy this and get back to work. Get Lincoln Co. at home next week and they have really improved the last couple years. They are building something.”
