Louisa Colored School 4-H Club “the Busy Bees”
The best that I can remember this was around 1951 at the Colored School. The Scrap Iron Drive was to get metal and tires collected for the military to have melted down into more steel. Great storage of metal at that time ending the Korean War. The kids got out and collected a large amount of scrap that they had stacked behind the school. Getting their picture taken in the Big Sandy News really made them all very happy. Supt. Of Schools Bill Cheek had the picture taken.
