FLOODED STREAMS ARE BEING REPORTED ACROSS LAWRENCE COUNTY…
2:15 PM Updated 2/16/16
This is likely the last update on this winter storm event.
We will be dropping to a Level One Snow Emergency at 4 PM this afternoon and reman there until morning. At this time plans will be to drop the Snow Emergency at 08:00 in the morning unless something changes overnight.
Primary roadways have basically returned to normal due to the continued hard work of our county, city and state highway crews. Motorist still need to use caution when out and watch for slick spots, running water and even mud and rock slides over the coming days.
No word on status of schools for Wednesday at this time.
Outlook for the rest of the week is as follows:
Slight chance of rain and/or light snow tonight. The majority of the precipitation will remain to our south and we don’t expect to see any accumulation beyond a dusting at this time.
Tomorrow starts the warming trend that will last until Sunday so enjoy and get out and take care of those outside projects as winter is likely to return at the start of next week. We’re already watching the potential of another winter storm system for the middle of next week.
