Lawrence Emergency groups form new program
On Monday night February 8th, 2016 members of Lawrence County Emergency Responders representing Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, Fire, Emergency Medical Services and Search and Rescue met to launch the Yellow DOT Program for Lawrence County.
The program is designed for individuals to take the Yellow Dot folder and place all their contact information, medical conditions, medications and other important information for each individual that could possibly be in your vehicle. The folder will then be placed in the glove box of your car. A sticker is also provided to be placed on your back drivers side window to alert emergency responders that you have a Yellow Dot folder inside your vehicle. The emergency responders can then obtain the folder and have all your important information in case you are unable to communicate in an emergency.
The public can pickup their Yellow DOT folder at any of the following locations:
* Lawrence County Clerks Office
* Lawrence County Emergency Management
* Three River Medical Center – Louisa
* Kentucky State Police Post 14 – Ashland
We will also be making these available at all Law Enforcement, Ambulance and Fire Stations throughout the county in the near future.
