Lazer co-publisher prepares ‘Mexican Manicotti My Way’
Lazer co-publisher Glenda Grayson prepared the dish shown in our ‘Just a Pinch’ feature tonight and it was very, very good. Of course she is a great cook to begin with but we found that trying a new recipe from The Lazer a challenge and we were plesantly surprised.
The series is provided by the Kentucky Press Association to member media outlets and I have been using the material from that source for many years, but I had never asked Glenda to try a recipe. The dish featured on our Arts & Entertainment section today is called ‘Mexican Manicotti My Way’ is both Mexican and Italian and is packed with flavor you won’t believe.
I’d like to encourage our Lazer viewers to try it and see what you think. Write a message back when you do and we’ll share it with our 35,000 regular viewers.
While I’m at it let me mention a few more ‘hidden treasures’ on The Lazer.
For example, if you will click on the Sports tab at the top of the page on the menu bar you will find Big Sandy Sportsman, a takeoff on an outdoor magazine our family used to publish about outdoor sports. We have added Art Landers’ columns and many other outdoor sports items, especially golf and fishing. It seems that a lot of our viewers do not regularly use the menu drop downs and they don’t know what they’re missing.
Another example is our Church page which contains a daily non-denominational devotional as well as words to live by and we have plenty of space for local churches to post happenings at their places of worship. And it is FREE.
Add to that our Arts&Entertainment section, which has the daily Hot 100 top songs from Billboard magazine as well as the best sellers on the New York Times list each day, and movie reviews from Fandango.
I have spent a lot of time researching where to find these top resources and negotiated free links to the very best in culture and entertainment and we mix in local talent and stories about our rich heritage in music and other forms of entertainment as well. The idea is to have as much variety and culture as possible.
Try these suggestions as soon as you can, we think you’ll like them as much as the Mexican Manicotti…
