William Sherman “Carl” Evans
1932 – 2016
William Sherman “Carl” Evans 83 of Louisa, KY went to be the Lord on Tuesday January 12, 2016 following a long illness.
Carl was born Feb. 11, 1932 at Holty, KY the son of the late Sherman and Minnie Muncy Evans. He was a retired coal miner with Wolf Creek Collieries and a member of the Louisa Church of God.
Survivors include his loving wife Lois Maynard Evans; two daughters Magdalene Maynard and husband Gary of Versailles, KY and Judith Bowen and husband William of Fallsburg, KY; a son Timothy Evans and wife Angie of Louisa, KY; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday Jan. 16 at noon at the Louisa Church of God with Rev. Paul Stepp officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowen Family Cemetery at Fallsburg, KY.
Friends may visit the family from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday and Friday at the Louisa Church of God.
