10 year sentences meted out for meth, burglary
Louisa, KY. — Several cases were heard in Lawrence County Circuit Court on Friday, Jan. 8th by Judge John David Preston. Most cases centered around drug charges, primarily Meth. Other cases included Burglary, Receiving Stolen Property, Theft By Unlawful Taking and Flagrant Non-Support. Cases listed below….
Joshua W. Burris, 32, pled guilty and was sentenced to 8 years for Amended Complicity Manufacture Meth, 3 years each for (3) counts of Complicity Controlled Substance Endangerment to Child 4th Degree, and 3 years for Complicity Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree. Sentences to run concurrently. Final sentencing Feb. 12.
Samuel D. Collins Jr., 23, pled guilty and was sentenced to 2 years for Complicity Manufacture Meth, 2 years each on (3) counts of Complicity Controlled Substance Endangerment to Child 4th Degree, and Complicity Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree. Sentences to run consecutively. Supervised pre-trial diversion 10 years and other conditions. Final sentencing Feb. 12.
Travis Cordle, 30, was sentenced to 10 years for Manufacture Meth, 2 years for Trafficking In Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 12 months for Drug Paraphernalia buy/Possession. Jail credit of 5 days was applied. Sentences to run concurrently, probated on conditions.
Russell Cyrus, 44, was sentenced to 5 years, diversion for 5 years and other conditions for Flagrant Non-Support. A goal of 26 days credit was applied.
Randall Donta II, 26, pled guilty and was sentenced to 10 years for Burglary 2nd degree, 90 days for Criminal Mischief. Sentence probated for 5 years and other conditions. A charge of Persistent Felony Offender was dismissed.
Jason Kelly, 42, pled guilty and was sentenced to 10 years to serve for Complicity Manufacture Meth. Final sentencing Mar. 25.
Michelle Roop, 44, pled guilty and was sentenced to 8 years for Amended Complicity Manufacture Meth, 3 years each for (3) counts of Complicity Controlled Substance Endangerment to Child 4th Degree, and 3 years for Complicity Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree. Sentences to run concurrently. Supervised 5 years and other conditions.
Larry R. Salyer, 52, pled guilty and was sentenced to 3 years on Amended Complicity Manufacture Meth, 2 years for complicity Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree. Sentences to run consecutively. Salyers was sentenced to 30 days each for Complicity Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possession and Controlled Substance Prescription Not In Original Container. These sentences to run concurrent to first two. Three counts of Complicity Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree Police Officer was dismissed.
Gary Skaggs, 49, pled guilty and was sentenced to 5 years supervised pre-trial diversion 5 years and other conditions for Amended Complicity Manufacture Meth. Final sentencing Feb. 12.
John Curtis Spillman, 33, was sentenced to 3 years for Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition Farm Equipment. Probated 5 years and other conditions . A charge of Persistent Felony Offender enhanced sentenced to 5 years to serve. Jail credit of 8 days was applied. Sentence to run consecutive with other cases.
Billy J. Stevens (no age given) pled guilty and was sentenced to 365 days probated supervised 365 days credit for ten served and other conditions for Amended Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000. One day jail credit was applied. A separate case was dismissed.
