December, 2015 Indictments
Drugs, theft, two sex offender charges result in 18 indictments for December
Eighteen indictments were returned by Lawrence County Grand Jury including two men who failed to register with as sex offenders. Others were indicted on a multitude of drug related charges and burglary. Indictments are as follows….
Brittany Hicks AKA Brittany Hurt, 27 Blaine, KY, was indicted on a charge of Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.
According to the indictment, on or about Sept. 3, 2015, Brittany Hicks knowingly and unlawfully was in possession of an altered (sawed off) 12 gauge shotgun after being previously convicted of a felony.
Danny Young, 29, Blaine, KY, was indicted on a charge of Possession of a Firearm By Convicted Felon.
According to the indictment, on or about Sept. 3, 2015, Danny Young knowingly and unlawfully was in possession is a 12 gauge altered (sawed off) shotgun after being convicted of a felony.
Brittany Hicks and Danny Young were also indicted alone or in complicity on all or part of the following charges: Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, illegal Possession of Legend Drug.
According to the indictment, on or about Sept. 3, 2015, Hicks and Young knowingly and unlawfully were in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, rolling papers and a syringe, and non-narcotic substances.
Jessica Blevins, 33, Huntington, WV, was indicted on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree/Complicity, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, and use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia /Complicity.
According to the indictment, on or about April 24, 2015, Jessica Blevins knowingly and unlawfully was in possession of a Schedule II drug–Oxycodone and Heroin. Defendant acted alone or in complicity with Aaron Maynor by being in possession of altered straws.
Aaron Maynor, 25, East Lynn WV, was indicted on charges of possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree/Complicity, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Complicity.
According to the indictment, on or about April 24, 2015, Aaron Maynir acted alone or in conspiracy with Jessica Blevins by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a Schedule II drug–Oxycodone and a Schedule IV drug–Diazepam, and was in possession if altered straws.
Jennifer Fuller, AKA Jennifer Sammons, 32, Louisa, KY was indicted in charges of Receiving Stolen Property (over $500) and Receiving Stolen Property–Firearm (3 counts).
According to the indictment, in or about Aug. 27-Aug. 28, 2015, Jessica Fuller knowingly and unlawfully was in physical possession of stolen items with a value exceeding over $500. Defendant was also in possession of a Remington Model 7, a Franchise 20 GA, and a Beretta 300 WSM rifle, firearms all stolen from Mr. Kenneth Campbell.
Joshua Lee Ratliff, 32, Louisa, KY, was indicted on charges of Manufacturing Meth/Complicity, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession/Use Drug Paraphernalia, and No/Expired Registration Plates.
According to the indictment, on or about Oct. 1, 2015, Joshua Ratliff knowingly and unlawfully manufactured or intended to manufacture meth, was in possession of Heroin, a syringe, and operated a motor vehicle without proper registration.
Randy Wright, 27, Louisa, KY, was indicted on a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree.
According to the indictment, on or about April 15, Randy Wright knowingly and unlawfully was in possession of Methamphetamine.
Alisha N. Whitt, 30, Louisa, KY, was indicted on charges of Possession of controlled Substance 1st And 3rd Degree, Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Complicity, Prescription of Co trolled Substance in Improper Container, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree, and Alcohol Intoxication.
According to the indictment, on or about Aug. 12, 2015, Alisha Whitt knowingly and unlawfully was in possession of Oxycodone, Diazepam, syringes, controlled substance not in administered container, and is considered a persistent felony offender due to being convicted of a prior felony.
Kevin Totten, 39, Louisa, KY, was indicted on a charge of Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.
According to the indictment, on or about Aug. 28, 2015, Kevin Totten knowingly and unlawfully was in possession of a RG brand .22 caliber handgun after being previously convicted of a felony. Totten was also indicted on separate charges of Burglary 1st Degree (2 counts), Possession of Handgun By Convicted Felon.
According to the second indictment, on or about Aug. 27, 2015, Defendant knowingly and unlawfully entered into the dwelling house of Kenneth and Sandra Campbell, and Jeff and Rita Thompson of Louisa, KY with the intent to commit theft. Defendant was in possession of a .22 caliber handgun while having been convicted of a felony.
Eric Tyler Ward, 20, Louisa, KY, was indicted on a charge of Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $500. According to the indictment, on or about Oct. 29, Eric Tyler knowingly and unlawfully took a Pelican brand boar valued at $800 from James O’Brien of Two Mile Creek, Louisa, KY.
Billy R. Greene, 40, Gunlock, KY,
Grover J. Allen, 34, Salyersville, KY,
and Michael Bailey, Salyersville, KY,
All three of the above were indicted on all or part, of charges of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree/Complicity, Attempt/Obtain Controlled Substance by Fraud/False Statement, Tampering With Physical Evidence, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree/Complicity, Possession of Marijuana/Complicity, Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Complicity, and Public Intoxication (Excluding Alcohol).
According to the indictment, on of about Nov. 4, 2015, Billy Greene acted alone or in complicity with Grover J. Allen and Michael L. Bailey by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Methamphetamine, and attempted to procure the administration of a controlled substance by knowingly misrepresenting or withholding information from a practitioner. Defendant also destroyed, concealed or altered physical evidence that could be used against him, was in possession of Buprenorphine, marijuana, rolling papers, syringe and was manifestly under the influence of controlled substances or drugs.
James R. Arthur, 44, Louisa, KY, was indicted on a charge of Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration.
According to the indictment, on or about Nov. 14, 2015, James Arthur knowingly and unlawfully failed to register at new address with parole officer.
James G. Moore, 64, was indicted on a charge of Failure to Comply With Sex Offender Registration.
According to the indictment, on or about July 25, 2015, James Moore knowingly and unlawfully failed to register new address with parole officer.
