Local business is based on owner’s ‘walk with God’
BURNAUGH, Ky. — Over seven and a half years ago Kenny Aldrich and his wife Anna set out on a mission to provide customers with quality work and repairs on their wrecked or unworking automobiles. Armed with only a dream and a prayer they opened a small automotive repair shop directly off of US 23, at Burnaugh and named it Lighthouse Collison Center.
When asked why he chose “Lighthouse Collison Center” name Aldrich responded, “I wanted to symbolize something good, positive, and favorable. My wife has always loved lighthouses and as I was praying one day it came to me. A lighthouse signifies friendly, welcoming, helpful guidance, that was what I wanted to offer customers.”
Aldrich wanted his walk with God to be the foundation of his business, as a token of his appreciation and desire to share God’s word he places a New Testament Bible in the window of each vehicle he repairs.
“There have even been times we will pray with clients who may have been involved in an accident, also requesting prayer for them at our home church, Burnaugh Baptist.”
In just seven short years Lighthouse Collison Center has been able to expand and grow and offer a variety of services ranging from suspension jobs, framework, anything collision related, and now even RV and large truck repair.
“We offer competitive pricing,” Aldridge said. “To us it’s more personal, our customers are more than just a dollar sign they are real people we see every day, neighbors, friends, family, and people we attend church with. We want them to trust us.”
Lighthouse Collison Center now employs eight full time staff members. Lynn, the secretary said, “Kenny is so good with people, he gives more than he receives, he has a good heart.”
“We have a small country shop so we have to try a little harder than our bigger competitors, many of our customers are repeat customers. We believe wholeheartedly that word of mouth is the best advertisement you can have. We want to be here a long time,” Aldridge said.

Using a special camera to analyze paint that is on a vehicle, motorcycle, RV, or older vehicle that does not have a ‘color code’ they are able to create a perfect color match.
