William “Ralph” Shannon
1936 – 2015
William “Ralph” Shannon 79, of Louisa, Ky. passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.
He was born September 25, 1936 in Clifford, Ky. a son of the late William Garland and Elizabeth Bartram Shannon. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and a retired laborer for General Motors and he was a member of the Grand F&AM Lodge #0596 of Brookville, Ohio.
Survivors include, one daughter, Beth (Henry) Horn of Durham, NC.; two sisters, Rose (Benny) Stuart of Fallsburg, Ky.; Peggy (Jim) Parker of Dayton, Ohio; three brothers, Lowell (Betty) Shannon of Louisa, Ky.; James “Doug” (Chan) Shannon of Dayton, Ohio; Ulysses Shannon of Dayton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Travis Horn and Callie Horn both of Durham, NC; and a host of Nieces, nephews and friends.
A Graveside service will be conducted 3:00 pm Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Shannon Cemetery, Louisa, Ky. with Pastor Richard Maynard officiating.
Visitation will be 11:00 am til 1:30 pm at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
