“Fall into Harvest with Louisa Chapter DAR”
Louisa Chapter of DAR met Tuesday October 27, 2015 in the Conference room of the Lawrence County Library. After opening ceremony and discussion of upcoming projects members were treated to a grand buffet by hostesses Sherry Burchett, Teresa Pigg, and Lynn Courtney. The theme was “Fall into Harvest with Louisa Chapter DAR”.
Special guest were State Organizing Secretary, Leslie Miller, who is a candidate for State Regent and State Chaplan, Marsha Banks who is a candidate for State Vice-Regent.
They announced that the Louisa Chapter DAR is going to be featured in the State Newsletter because Louisa Chapter is the only one in the State that has their own Research and Geneology Room.
Many voluntary hours are worked each week by local researchers Linda Holt, Mary Reid, Reba Whitt, Sabrina May, Faye Sparks, and Evelyn DeBoard.
The next meeting will be Tuesday November 24th at 6:00 pm at the Lawrence County Library.
