Harold G. “Dean” Adkins, 74, of Louisa, Ky. passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
He was born October 27, 1941 in Pikeville, Ky. a son of the late Jim Adkins Sr. and the late Elsie Smallwood Jury. Dean was a retired truck driver and was a member of Irish Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include, his loving wife of 16 years, Deborah Berry Adkins of Louisa, Ky.; three daughters, Effie Amparan, Deana Adkins, and Marsha Adkins; one son, Earnest Adkins; two brothers, James Adkins of Louisa, Ky.; Jack Adkins of Columbus, Ohio; two step brothers, Charlie Adkins of Pikeville, Ky.; John Adkins of Ala.; step brother, Epp Thacker of Pikeville, Ky..
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, November 2, 2015 at Irish Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Wilks Jr. and Rev. Lincus Hogston officiating. Burial will follow at the Berry Cemetery, Louisa, Ky.
Visitation will be 5:00 til 9:00 PM Sunday at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
