Anna Mae Hammond
1932 – 2015
Anna Mae Hammond, 83, of Louisa, Ky. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 15, 2015.
She was born January 7, 1932 in Louisa, Ky. a daughter of the late Mac and Grace Maynard Sammons. She was a retired storekeeper and owner of the MC Sammons General Store. Anna was a member of Emily Northrup Missionary Baptist Church and served as treasurer for close to 50 years, she was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, she was a Kentucky Colonel, which she was very proud of. Anna enjoyed bowling, traveling and loved playing cards, she was a very outgoing person who just loved life. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Troy Hammond and her daughter, Dianna Lynn Hammond.
Survivors include, two sons, William Troy (Deana) Hammond Jr. of Louisa, Ky.; John Robert (Katherine) Hammond of Russell, Ky.; grandchildren, Allison and Matthew Hammond both of Louisa, Ky.; and Troy and Ben Hammond both of Russell, Ky.; caretaker, Bonnie Williams of Louisa, Ky..
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday October 18, 2015 at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Vanhoose officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6:00 til 9:00 PM Saturday at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
