UPDATE: OCTOBER 10, 3:38 PM
LOUISA, KY. — On October 9, at 1241 pm the Louisa Police Department responded to the Louisa Middle School in reference to a note that was found at the school making the treat of a bomb.
With the assistance of the Kentucky State Police a sweep of the school was done to insure no students were left in or around the building while watching for anything suspicious.
We do have a juvenile suspect and the case will be presented to the Court Designated Worker for Juveniles.”
The school was immediately evacuated at approximately 1:00 pm Friday and students were sent to Lawrence County High School according to a message from LC Supt. Robbie Fletcher. He also said parents were notified at 2:00pm via the school system’s auto-call system and parents were invited to pick up their children at the high school if they chose.
