Jefferson Preece, age 88, of Louisa, KY passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 in Ashland, KY. Jefferson was born September 26, 1927 in Louisa, KY. He was the son of the late Harvey and Evalena Burchett- Preece. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Jerome Preece. He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine Miller- Preece, of 67 years, one son, Jefferey Michael Preece and wife Pamela, and one daughter, Janet Sue Kelley and husband Jim, also, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
Mr. Preece was retired from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers where he worked as a core driller. He was of Baptist Faith, a member of the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, and Apperson Masonic Lodge F&AM.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 2:00PM at Wilson Funeral Home with Revs. Francis Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
