SLICKY-SLIDE IS BACK AT BLAINE…AND MORE
Blaine Park has an upgrade to their playground.
As previously reported, the park was recently a victim of theft as the one and only slide was stolen from the structure it was bolted to. The harsh winter and flooding also left the landscape cloth and timbers broken, ripped up and damaged.
The slide has since been returned and Lawrence County Judge Executive John Osborne was confident the county had the supplies to replace the mulch with gravel and possibly new landscape timbers, in a conversation with Lazer reporters.
A recent visit to the park found that the old landscaping cloth and timbers were no longer there, but replaced with a sturdy black edging. It is uncertain at this time what other upgrades the park may receive.
Officials with the Judge’s office were unable to be reached for comment.
