Floyd, Lawrence projects approved for county road aid funds from KYTC
The Floyd and Lawrence County fiscal courts will receive money from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s County Road Aid Emergency fund for a bridge repair project in Floyd County and slide repair work in Lawrence County.
Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock announced the two projects as follows:
* Floyd County: $8,000.00 for bridge repairs on Samons Branch Road (CR 1003) over Arkansas Creek.
* Lawrence County: $65,400.00 for slip/slide repairs on CR 1312, Little Cat Fork Road.
“These emergency funds are being used to repair roadways and to improve safety and mobility in Floyd and Lawrence counties,” said Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock. “These projects are examples of the cabinet’s commitment to providing a solid infrastructure in Eastern Kentucky and all across the commonwealth.”
The fiscal courts in the respective counties are responsible for administering the work.
