Louisa Man Remains Incarcerated On Child Molestation Charges In Spite Of Bogus Claims That Charges Dismissed …
Three men from Louisa were arrested in three separate arrests in three different counties last week; meanwhile, another Louisa man remained jailed after being arrested on child sex charges last month by the Kentucky State Police, despite what turned out to be false claims made on social media in recent days that the charges against the man were recently dropped.
David R. Bartley Jr. 42, from Louisa, was arrested September 2, 2015, at 6:36 P.M. by deputy Chris Todd of the Martin County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
William W. Chafin, 26, of Louisa, was arrested in Greenup County on September 4, 2015, at 10:00 P.M. by patrol officer Eugene Osborne of the Russell Police Department, and was charged with: • SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY), and was later transported to the Big Sandy Detention Center
Thomas J. Dalton, 32, of Louisa, was arrested on September 5, 2015, at 12:43 A.M. by patrol officer Nicholas G. Taylor of the Paintsville Police Department, and was charged with: • DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 2ND DEGREE • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESSION
Meanwhile, a Lawrence County Man remains in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on child sex abuse charges, even though claims that were defiantly made by a woman on various social media outlets that charges were dropped against him last week.
Jesse Osborne, a 42-year-old man from Louisa had been arrested on August 26 by trooper Shane Copley, with the Kentucky State Police, on charges of 1st Degree Sodomy.
The state police stated Osborne’s victim was less that 12-years-old. Police believe Osborne had intercourse with the child.
In Kentucky, the criminal charge of 1st Degree Sodomy with a victim less that 12-years-old is a Class A felony punishable by 20 to 50 years in prison.
