2015 LOUISA MIDDLE SCHOOL BULLDOGS
Louisa, Ky — Head Coach Tate Smith is going into his 5th year as leader of the Louisa Middle School Bulldogs and the football program has been very successful including a 9-2 record in 2014 before they fell to Paintsville in the 2nd round of the Middle School State Playoffs.
Coach Smith said the major goal is preparing his players at this level to be ready on Friday Nights for the Lawrence Co. Dawgs.
The 2015 team is no different and they are ready to prove they belong on the big stage in Lexington and compete for a State Championship. The Middle School Dawgs have played in a couple scrimmages so far and have played very well.
Louisa will kickoff regular season play at Luke Varney Memorial Stadium on August 25th at 6:00 vs East Carter.
COACH’S COMMENT…
“… We have played better than expected so far in the preseason,” Head Coach Tate Smith Said. “We lost a lot of lineman from 2014 so we have new guys blocking up front. Our backfield is set with C.J. Fairchild at QB, Trevor Young, Brody Cantrell and Brandon Davis. Our schedule is tough as always and we even picked up Belfry this year so that should be fun.
Our goal just like every year is to get to Lexington and compete for a State Championship. Should be a fun year we have outstanding kids and Coaches… “
