Lesley Blackburn Coleman
1922 – 2015
Lesley Blackburn Coleman, age 93 of Louisa, Ky. went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2015.
Lesley was born in Pike County, the daughter of the late Anthony and Louisa Oney Blackburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Carl Coleman, and a son, Roger Lee Coleman.
She owned and ran a community grocery store until she retired in the late seventies. She was a homemaker and a wonderful loving mother who loved the Lord and taught her children by the good example of how she lived her life.
She was preceded in death by six sisters: Wilma Thacker, Ledna Blackburn, Ressie Shores, Erma Domenick, Norma Blackburn, Orma Worrix and two brothers, Hazard Blackburn and Anthony Blackburn Jr.
She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis (Don) Ward of Louisa, Ky.; Carol Sue (William) Chapman of Catlettsburg, Ky.; and Judy (EL) Cline of Louisa, Ky. Eleven grandchildren: Vonda (Eddie) Lewis, Stacy Coleman, Donnie (Brenda) Ward, Gregory (Tamara) Ward, Susie (Paul) Rice, Audra (Wesley) Kingsmore, and Rodney (Amanda) Ward all of Louisa. Mitchell (Dawn) Chapman of Winchester, Ky., Gary (Rita) Chapman of Ceredo, WV., Eric Lee Cline of Lexington, Ky., and Christopher Cline of Louisa, Ky., Thirteen great grandchildren, Rebecca, Katie, Matthew, Clark, Natalie, Dustin, Ryan, Tyler, Ben, Katrina, Mason, Preston and Landry, and several nieces and nephews and friends and neighbors.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, August 17, 2015 at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Cox and Rev. Willie Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Louisa, Ky.
Visitation will be 5:00 til 9:00 pm Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
