SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN!
LOUISA, Ky. — Judge/Executive John Osborne has decided to limit the time a citizen can use address the court at Fiscal Court meetings to five minutes after a nearly hour long “discussion” at the July meeting with a woman who said she was asking questions for people who could not attend the meeting.
The court became entangled in what could only be called an “argument” with community activist Noretta Roberts on a variety of subjects including solid waste, same sex marriage and more (SEE LAZER VIDEO ON FRONT PAGE VIDEOS). Magistrate Morris Howard in particular went back and forth with Ms. Roberts for several minutes before he walked out of the meeting before it was adjourned.
A spokesperson in Osborne’s office confirmed this morning (Monday) that the incident last month spurred Osborne’s decision to limit the time a person has for questions.
The court will also vote on limits to the number of trash bags any one customer can leave for collectors.
