Clay County man is charged with paying for the murder of his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend
Police have charged a man in Clay County with paying someone to kill his girlfriend’s former boyfriend, Sheriff Kevin Johnson said Wednesday.
Deputies arrested Thomas Daniel Miracle, 35, Tuesday evening on a charge of solicitation to commit murder.
Miracle’s initial court appearance was Wednesday, and he pleaded not guilty, according to Circuit Clerk James Phillips’ office.
Miracle is accused of paying Roscoe Henson, 32, of Clay County, to kill Trevor Dykes, Johnson said.
Police arrested Henson Wednesday night, according to media reports. Roscoe Henson. 32, was booked into the Clay County jail on a murder charge about 9:50 p.m., according to the jail website.
Dykes, 24, was shot to death July 27.
Johnson said Dykes and a former girlfriend were involved in a custody dispute over their son. Miracle was the woman’s new boyfriend.
Johnson said there was an allegation that the woman has a drug problem, which might have raised concern about her losing custody. READ MORE
