AT&T users reporting widespread service outage
AT&T users in Louisville took to social media Tuesday reporting widespread Internet and cell phone network service outages.
Users bombarded the social media accounts of AT&T with complaints about the outage.
“Some customers in the Southeast are experiencing issues, but we’re investigating and working toward a solution,” the official AT&T account responded to many.
Three main carriers, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile all appear to be experiencing technical difficulties in the Tennessee Valley area, according to an outage map on downdetector.com.
Other major metropolitan areas are experiencing similar outages, including Evansville, Ind., Bowling Green and Lexington in Kentucky and Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tenn.
Representatives from AT&T could not immediately be reached for comment.
There were reports from parts of the tri-county (Lawrence-Johnson and Martin) region today. You can see the AT&T map of outages HERE
