Three Rivers Medical Center is pleased to have Justin D. Harris as the Administrative Specialist, announced Greg A. Kiser, Chief Executive Officer. Apart of the CHS CEO Training Program, Harris was hired by Community Health Systems and placed at Three Rivers Medical Center, June 17, 2015, to complete his residency for his master’s degree.
Born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, Harris recently moved from Birmingham, Alabama, where he earned a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and upon completion of his residency at Three Rivers, will earn a Masters of Health Care Administration with a certificate in Health Care Financial Management. Prior to earnings his Masters, Harris graduated from Georgetown College with a Bachelor’s Degree in political science with a minor in Security Studies and Public Health.
Growing up, Harris traveled with past governor, Governor Ernie Fletcher and Secretary of Health Mark Birdwhistell around the state of Kentucky, being named the State’s Spokesperson for Diabetes. Creating awareness around the nation, he became the National Youth Advocate for the American Diabetes at age fifteen. “I am excited to be a part of Three Rivers Medical Center here in Louisa, KY,” said Harris. “I look forward to the opportunities to improve the care and coordination between patients and providers – to serve the community by being part of administration here at TRMC.”
Harris currently resides in Louisa with his wife Kaitlyn, also a native of Kentucky, and their puppy, Lily. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, walking, and studying. He is a welcome addition to the administration of TRMC.
