Blanche Rutherford
1924 – 2015
Blanche Rutherford, 91, of Fort Gay, WV. formerly of Dunlow passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at St. Marys Medical Center in Huntington, WV after an extended illness.
She was born June 22, 1924 in Dunlow, WV a daughter of the late, Noah and Lou Emma Crum Robinson. Blanche was a homemaker and was a ‘Rosie Riviter’ in World War II. She loved to make quilts and give them away to all her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Rutherford who passed away in 1999; brothers and sisters, Everett, Sidney, Beecher, Curtis, Jim, Elijah (Jack) Robinson, Nannie Queen, Ollie Ferguson, and Ida Campbell.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday July 23, 2015 at the Buck Robinson Cemetery, Dunlow, WV.
Visitation will be 10:00 am til noon on Thursday at Young Funeral Home.
