RONALD McDONALD ENTERTAINS CHILDREN WITH READING
Songs, jokes and tricks all encouraging children to read more books was the message Ronald McDonald brought when he visited the Lawrence County Public Library Thursday afternoon.
A large crowd of children gathered for the presentation and were able to actively participate in the songs shouting “It’s book time!” and being amused at Ronald’s jokes whether it be turning his chair backwards or balancing a stack of books.
“I like that McDonald’s man,” said Carter Ferguson, age 4. “He’s so funny!”
The program was part of the library’s annual Summer Reading Program which offers various events and activities, free of charge, throughoutthe summer for children and families.
