1945 – 2015
Gayle Smith, 71, of Arcadia, Fla. formerly of Fort Gay, WV passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at St. Marys Medical Center in Huntington, WV.
She was born April 14, 1945 in Fort Gay, WV a daughter of the late Taylor and Mary Maynard Thompson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Smith.
Survivors include, one son, Wesley Smith of Arcadia, Fla.; sister, Martha Campbell of Catlettsburg, Ky.; brothers, Tommy Thompson of Columbus, Ohio; Larry Thompson of Columbus, Ohio; Taylor J. Thompson of Salt Lake City, Utah; and a special friend, Helena Pyles of East Lynn, WV.
A graveside service will be conducted 4:00 pm Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Lakin Cemetery, Prichard, WV with Pastor Johnny Harris officiating.
Visitation will be 2:30 – 3:30 pm Saturday at Young Funeral Home.
