Three Rivers Medical Center honored a number of deserving employees during their Annual Awards Luncheon and Program recently. Chief Executive Officer Greg A. Kiser, MHA and Director of Human Resources Patton R. Hart conducted the Awards Program to all of the honorees.
The highlight of the afternoon was the announcement of the Employee of the Year, the Clinical Manager and Non-Clinical Manager of the Year for the hospital. John C. Dye was honored as the 2014 Outstanding Employee of the Year. Dye has been with the hospital since May 2006 and serves as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the Respiratory Therapy Department. “I am pleased that Dye was honored because he goes the extra mile for the hospital and his patients, “said Sherry Pigmon, Respiratory Therapy Care Supervisor. Dye works well with other departments and is a team player. He is a kind and caring person that takes pride in his work and is an advocate for his patients. In being selected as Employee of the Year, Dye went to Nashville, Tennessee to attend a company-wide banquet with Community Health Systems, Inc. in March as part of the celebration honoring the 2014 company award winners.
Paula Hayes, RN, MSN who is the Education Director was honored as the Non-Clinical Manager of the Year for 2014. Hayes has been employed with the hospital since September 27, 2006. She serves as the Education Director in managing the clinical education and makes available continuing education classes for all disciplines associated with the hospital. In addition to her role as educator, Hayes has taken on the implementation of CPOE and the building and maintenance of the HMS system in the past year. She has worked diligently in building a system that meets the needs of the facility.
Director of Medical/Surgical Services Jennifer Johnson, RN, BSN was selected as the Clinical Manager of the year. Johnson has been with the hospital since October 21, 2002 as she manages successfully the
services of the Medical/Surgical department. Johnson has worked to implement MEWS on the medical/surgical unit. She has implemented Pretense monitoring to improve patient safety and has dramatically decreased adverse events in the department. Thus, improving fall score as well as decreased the number of code blues called by the department. Johnson rounds successfully on her patients in the Medical/Surgical department on a daily basis to assure that their care needs are being met. Johnson is committed to quality as well as excellent patient and staff satisfaction. She also works well with physicians to assure that the nursing and medical care delivered is exceptional on her department.
Congratulations are in order to Dye, Hayes and Johnson for excelling with distinction as they contribute to the advancement and success of TRMC’s healthcare mission to the community.
They are outstanding in their own special way in displaying quality distinctions in the roles that they perform for the hospital.
Service awards for three years of service to TRMC were presented to the following recipients: Beth Blevins, Angela Browning, Samantha Cochran, Shelley Crooks, Melissa Dixon, Shawna Forrest, Dr. Tom Frazier, Regina Hale, Dr. Spencer Harris, Josh Howard, Crystal Kazee, Dr. Aaron Kendrick, Natalie Lowe, Deanna Muncy, Lorna Osborne, Amanda Skaggs, Wendy Sturgell, Janell Tripp, Courtney Trout, Debra Waybright, Johnna Webb, Paula Wheeler and Dr. Timothy Yoost.
Award recipients for five years of service included: Jennifer Bentley, Jessica Browning, Tiffany Caines, Marsha Chaffin, Amanda Copley, Sherri Ellis, Christie Ford, Patricia Frazier, Davida Jude, Lue Malcolm, Lawrence Vinson, Amie Ward and Dr. Brandon Webb.
Awards for 10 years of service were presented to the following employees: Lyndella Bevins, Mechele Biehl, Amy Campbell, Jill Cantrell, Dr. Corazon Chua, Charyln Davis-Hager, Dawn Jordan, LaShea Hudnall, Jessica Pyles, Abigail Ratliff and Renee Swafford.
Service awards for 15 years were presented to the following employees: Kim Brumfield, Raymond Delong, Heidi Maynard, Abbie Moore, Jeanette Music and Tammy Pack.
Employees who were honored with 20 years of service were: Danielle Doss, Catherine Heston, Marinda Kirk and Sherry L. Martin.
Cynthia Robertson was honored and extended special tribute for 25 years of service to the hospital.
For distinguished and loyal service of 40 years to the hospital, the following employees were recognized: Joe Bevins, Ramona Hatfield, Brenda Hughes, James Osborne, Sharon Preece, Christine Robertson and Connie Sammons.
Perfect attendance awards for the year 2014 were recognized for their achievement. The following employees with perfect attendance were: Belinda Baisden, Shana Boggs, Shela Bowens, Samantha Cochran, Jamie Coleman, Joetta Dixon, Dwana Doss, Sarah Gudino, Patton Hart, Paula Hayes, Catherine Heston, LaShea Hudnall, Donald Jarrell, Jennifer Johnson, Rose Kingston, Amanda Kirk, Diane Martin, Charlotte Napier, Terecia Polley, Kayla Salmons, Connie Sammons and Sharon Smith.
Chief Executive Officer Greg A. Kiser was pleased to recognize all the award recipients of TRMC for their notable contributions.
