Carolyn Elizabeth Murphy, 70, of Catlettsburg, Ky. passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at her home.
She was born September 30, 1944 in Louisa, Ky. a daughter of the late Herman and Sarah Elizabeth Smith Murphy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Delbert Murphy, Clayton Murphy and Roger Murphy; sisters, Willa Demmings and Marie Ortman;
Survivors include, brothers, Robert Murphy of Fallsburg, Ky.; Charles Murphy of Chillicothe, Ohio; sisters, Lois (Eddie) Chaffin of Columbus, Ohio; Herma Coons of Chillicothe, Ohio; Carrie Smith of Bainbridge, Ohio; Kathy (Larry) Bryant of Catlettsburg, Ky.; Naomi Scott of Fallsburg, Ky.; Ruth (Joe) Childers of Louisa, Ky.; Alma (Howard) Preston Louisa, Ky.; Peggy Bowen of Louisa, Ky. She will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Clarkston officiating. Burial will follow at Murphy Cemetery, Louisa, Ky.
Visitation will be 6:00 til 9:00 pm Saturday at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
