WZAQ, is now known as ‘The Bridge’
Louisa, KY — There has been a lot of questions and confusion about WZAQ radio station in Louisa since the building that housed the old radio station for so many years, and most recently Ignite Radio, became vacant a few months ago.
It turns out that WZAQ is now owned by Expression Production Group, based out of Wheelersburg, OH, by Kevin West and Dale Scragg. It is a family owned business, and the studio is actually located in Garrison, KY in Lewis County.
According to Mic Marshall, Sales Manager, there will soon be a sales office in Grayson.
Louisa (WZAQ-92.3) and Garrison (WOKE-98.3) are on the same network and the format is modern Gospel, contemporary Christian, and praise/worship music.
WZAQ, is now known as ‘The Bridge.’ “Ignite went away a few weeks ago” Marshall said. He also said there is a new website on the way: mybridgemusic.com. The station also has a Facebook page: The Bridge.
With advanced technology including Internet and broadband, radio has changed rapidly. The days of each small town having it’s own station are pretty much gone, as larger telecommunication companies can stream programming from one location into multiple ‘stations’ without a station.
Marshall said WZAQ is happy to serve Lawrence County and any community announcements may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. For information on advertising call 606-653-7990. For additional information call the Wheelersburg office at 740-574-8810. He also reminded everyone that they are running a special until the end of May on ads, $7.50 for 30 second spots.
