Fairchild pitches complete game striking out nine
Louisa, Ky — Coach ‘s Middle School Baseball team is off to a hot start this year.
That continued Thursday evening with 2 victories over the Boyd Co. Lions. Game 1 the star was Corbin Fairchild on the mound with a complete game. Fairchild only gave up 1 earned run while striking out 9 in the 4-2 victory. In game 2 the Dawgs fell behind early but came back for a 9-6 victory.
Austin Roe started for LC and went 3 innings, Tyler Maynard finished it off to get the win. Tanner Rasnake, Hunter Crum and Jackson Feltner had big hits for LC. Dawgs stand at 11-3 and will be back in action next week.
“With all of the rain and not much time on the field, to be 11-3 says a lot about our kids.” Coach Said
“We lost some really good players that moved up to the High School level and I wasn’t sure how we would look this year.”
