Louisa, KY — Students from Lawrence County Elementary schools will be ‘Roaring in the 20’s,’
as a group from the Paramount Arts Center will visit them this month, exposing them to the time period made famous by “The Great Gatsby,’ by F. Scott Fitzgearld.
The students will learn about life in the 1920’s during a one hour session which will include art styles, a demonstration of live jazz music, fashion show, and dances that were popular during history’s most ‘swinging’ time period. Students will learn the steps of the Charleston dance as an ending to this fun, hands on learning experience.
The program will be held April 7 for Fallsburg and Blaine Elementary Schools, and April 9 for Louisa Middle and Louisa East Elementary. The program is not open to the public, but is a great learning opportunity for students.
