MARCH 24, 2015
All Richardson School students, of any year, and their family members, are cordially invited to attend the 50th Reunion of the School, set for Saturday, June 20, 2015. This “Golden Celebration” will be held at the Louisa Community Center, 101 W. Pike St., Louisa, KY, from 12 Noon until 3:00 pm. A potluck luncheon will be served.
This special event will be hosted by Dr. Daniel Massey, nicknamed, “Teacher-Preacher,” by his students. Dr. Massey, who lives in the Los Angeles area, served as the principal/teacher of the Richardson School for the school year of 1964-1965. While he taught at the school, Dr. Massey was the preacher for the midweek service at the Richardson Methodist Church, which was led by Aunt Jane Hinkle.
In the last half-century, the Reunion will mark the first time that Dr. Massey, and his students, have seen each other. The Theme of the Reunion is “Inspiring Stories.” Participants will be invited to share a brief story about a teacher, a student, or any person they choose to talk about, who has been an inspiration to them.
The “Richardson Girls” will serve as The Reunion Committee: Sharon Hinkle Kinner, Chair, Donna Stepp Cox, Susie Boyd Lacks, and Patty Vanhoose Rutherford.
The Reunion is free of charge, but an RSVP is required by June 1, 2015. You can message your RSVP to Sharon Hinkle Kinner or Daniel Massey, on Facebook, or, by texting, calling, emailing, or writing Daniel Massey.
