A Carter County Kentucky family is so desperate for a final resolution and closure in the homicide of a beloved relative that they’re offering a reward.
The family of Kelly Lee Glover, 49, who was from Olive Hill, Kentucky in Carter County, is promising $5,000 to anyone who has information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of those who killed him.
Glover’s family say he was loved and respected throughout his community.
Kentucky State Police say Glover was shot in the head and killed near his gravel truck sometime before 9 A.M Feb. 13 along Davis Trail Road in a secluded part of Elliott County.
KSP detectives stated there is no connection to drugs, and they are continuing to track down multiple leads in the case.
Kelly Glover’s family even admitted the first thing people think of these days are drugs, but they say Glover was very outspoken about the how harmful drugs can be.
Glover’s family say he was loved and respected throughout his community.
Family members believe the murder was orchestrated and planned out, luring Glover there to that area of Elliot County by promising him work. They believe his death was over something like a disagreement or some kind of a grudge. They described his death as brutal and are asking for help in catching the killers.
“The state of Kentucky will, in the end, bring justice for this family, and that’s what we want,” said Stephen Phillips, a close friend of Glover’s.
Glover’s sister-in-law Vickie Glover said, “I don’t know if we’ll ever have closure. I don’t know if they find somebody if this will help, but we need answers, and anybody out there who has any information please, please come forward.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the KSP Morehead Post 8 at (606) 784-4127. YOUR NAME WILL NOT BE USED.
