BLAINE, Ky. –– On March 12, 2015 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded to South Hwy 201 approximately 2 miles South of Blaine in reference to a possible meth lab.
Once on scene, Chief Deputy Mark Wheeler spoke to Johnson County Deputy Terry Tussey who was in the area following up on a stolen utility trailer. Deputy Tussey advised that they had located two bags containing multiple items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine along with digital scales, syringes and other items of paraphernalia.
Upon checking the bags and items inside it was discovered that at least one of the bags along with items inside belonged to Jamie M Slone, 37 of Williamsport, KY in Johnson County. Slone was located at a residence in the area and was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree Meth.
Slone was taken to TRMC for decontamination and medical clearance before being lodged in Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. Also responding to the scene was Sgt Chuck Jackson who is also assisting with the investigation.
There are more arrests pending.
