On March 4, 2015 at 2:36 P.M. the Johnson County Sheriff Office received a call of a single vehicle collision accident with injuries on KY 201 in northern Johnson County. Deputy Byron Fairchild responded and reported that a green 1996 Jeep Cherokee driven by Shalious Hall of Blaine, Kentucky lost control after hydroplaning and landing into a creek along the side of KY 201.
Hall was not injured but 3 passengers in her vehicle, including 2 juveniles were reported to have Injuries and were transported to medical facilities. Their identities have yet to be released
Fire and rescue responded including the WR Castle Fire and Rescue and Paintsville EMS. The collision was worked in a timely manner and KY 201 was reopened.
Deputies stated that the roadways at the time were becoming very hazardous throughout the county due to flooding and debris on the roadways and that dangerous weather was expected for the next 24-36 hours and that people needed to make safety plans and only travel if absolutely necessary; and if doing so, they should drive slowly if those needed to be out and do not go through high water.
