LCHS basketball teams have good chance at regionals…
By Donnie Shapaka
Louisa — The 2014 basketball regular season is in the books and for Lawrence County the week off of games came at a perfect time. A winter storm pounded the entire state of Kentucky last week which caused the cancellations of all high school sporting events.
Both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs used this past week to prepare for the upcoming 60th district tournament. This year’s tournament is being held at Phelps High school in Pike County, Ky.
Lawrence County boy’s will be squaring off against the Belfry Pirates. The Bulldogs will be playing without junior Robert Dalton who is out indefinitely with a hand injury. The Bulldogs and Pirates split the season series with both teams winning on their home court.
The Lady Bulldogs will battle Pike County Central in the girls tournament. The Lady Hawks won both contests over Lawrence County this season but both teams come in with the same record of (11-16).
