Good news from last week…
BULLDOGS WIN STREAK GROWS… SCORING RECORD ESTABLISHED
As of Monday, the LCHS Bulldogs had won three straight games and four out of five. On Saturday, the Dawgs came close to the school scoring record, putting up 110 points in a 110-78 blowout over Williamsburg, which came into the game with an 18-2 record. The Bulldogs improved to 14-10 on the season.
The Lady Bulldogs host Fairview on Monday evening and close out their home games with Senior Night on Friday against Rose Hill at 6 p.m. in varsity action only. They will honor seniors Caroline Clevenger, Laiken Fitch, Kelli Lemaster and Shelby Hay.
The LCHS Bass Fishing Team hosted its first ever swap meet last Saturday from 9 a.m to 4 p.m.
According to Brandon Meddings, who coaches the LCHS Bass Club, vendors and supporters present at Saturday’s event included members of the Louisa Bass Club, Yatesville Bait and Tackle, and Anger Baits in Catlettsburg.
The regional qualifying tournament will be at Yatesville Lake on May 23.
Fallsburg Academic Team wins Katherine Hume Sportsmanship Award at Governor’s Cup
The FES Middle School Academic team won the Katherine Hume Sportsmanship award at the Governor’s cup competition:
Brooklyn Walker, Micala Brooks, Cameron Marcum, Darby Chapman, Maddie Short, Salenna Souper and Adrianna Burchett.
