Ada Bonita “Bonnie” Preece Thompson, 66, of Louisa, KY went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 19, 2015 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY.
Born January 23,1948, she was the daughter of William Henry and Ambia Marie (Shannon) Preece. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Brayden Michael Davis.
She was a member of the Louisa United Methodist Church and was Louisa City Clerk/Treasurer for twenty years.
Surviving are her husband of more than fifty years, Kenneth Lee Thompson, a son, Michael Wainwright Thompson of Louisa, and a daughter, Krista (Robert) Lene’ Kiser of Pikeville, KY. Three granddaughters, Heather (Jarrod Shaffer) Nicole Thompson of Proctorville, OH, Brigette Rachelle Thompson of South Point, OH, and Rachel (Tarek) Dawn Thompson of Cleveland, OH. Three grandsons, Tristan Nathanial Thompson of Catlettsburg, KY, Robert Seth Kiser of Pikeville, KY, and Donovan (Keeley) Ross Kiser of Jacksonville, NC. Four great-grandchildren, Jordyn Paige Shaffer, Broedy Don Davis, Yaseen Tarek Soliman, and Noah Blake Kiser. One sister, Mary Emma (James) Walker of Lexington, KY, and one brother, Wainwright (Toni) Shannon Preece of Louisa. Bonnie will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitations will be from 5pm to 9pm Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Wilson’s Funeral Home and from 12pm to 2 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Louisa United Methodist Church in Louisa, KY.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 2 pm at Louisa United Methodist Church in Louisa, KY with Reverend Wayne Watts officiating. Internment will be at Preece Memorial Gardens in Louisa, KY.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, which was dear to Bonnie’s heart.
