Louisa Water Dawgs have first swim meet Saturday July 5; city wide pool party July 4th…
The Louisa City Pool has several things to offer to the community. They are open to the public from noon to 6 pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and noon to 5 pm on Tuesday and Thursday for $3.
On the Fourth of July there will be a City Wide Pool Party from 8 pm to 11 pm. Luna and the Mountain Jets will be performing. The admission is $3.00. There will be fun games, races, and a crazy dive competition. Concessions will be sold and you can see the fireworks.
Saturday July 5th there is a Water Dawg swim meet against Paintsville from 9 am to noon with free admission. Ages 1 year to 16 years old will compete. There are four events including back stroke, breast stroke, free style, and butterfly. The team members also do relays. Louisa Water Dawgs compete against Pikeville and Painstville in these meets and also have the most members of the three.
“This year we have more members than we have ever had,” said Head Coach Erin Evans.
It is also not to late to book your Party with the Louisa City Pool.
“We will be booking parties through Sept,” Evans said.
The cost is $75 an hour. You can book a party by stopping by the pool or calling 606-638-4947 or calling City Hall.
There is still one week of swimming lessons left. It will be Mon through Thursday from11:00 am till noon and is $25.
