Bulldogs win three of five during wet week…Now 18-8
LOUISA, Ky. –Coach Travis Feltner’s 2013 Bulldogs havd been sloshing their way through the season so far with the wet weather. The Dawgs are stuck at second place in District 57 with a 4-4 mark but have a strong overall record of 18-8.
The Lazer has no sports photographer available at this time but here are the box scores from the pastweek from Coach Feltner.
Coach Feltners gave the following quotes…
Coach’s Quotes: “We are 18-8 (4-4 in district play). I really like our ballclub a lot.
We’ve played well all season with the exception of 1 week and that happen
to be during a stretch of district seeded games (Painstville and Johnson
Central). This past week we went 4-2 and I really feel we are headed in
the right direction. Starting to figure some things out offensively. We
are in the middle of a very competitive district with in my opinion 3 of
the top 4 teams in the region are in. so at least one of us won’t even
qualify for the regional tourney. Bottom line our goal is to be playing
our best baseball come May 20th (district tourney week) and I’d really
like our chances of making a run at a regional title. Our goals have not
changed from that. District standings still have a lot to be played out,
with a big series between Magoffin Co and Paintsville scheduled to play
tonight and tomorrow night. The weather has definitely thrown a wrench in
our chain this week as we’ve had 3 games cancelled due to rain outs.
Hopefully the weather breaks and we can get in a good routine these last 2
weeks of regular season.”
