Bessie Marie Prescott
1923 - 2012
Bessie Marie Prescott, 89, of Ashland, Ky. passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012 at JJ Jordan Geriatric Center in Louisa, Ky. She was born September 16, 1923 in Morett, Missouri a daughter of the late Richard Lewis and Lillie Mae Schroeder Gravener. She was a retired seamstress for Stars Fashion World and was a member of the Unity Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Prescott.
Survivors include three daughters; Michelle Parker, Norman, Oklahoma, Kay Hundley, Fort Gay, W.Va., and Beverly Crabtree, Tomahawk, Ky., one son, Stephen Prescott of Maine, fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Prescott's final place of rest will be Dixon Cemetery, Westwood, Ky.
There will be no services at this time.
Ruth Ann Wheeler DeBord
1955 - 2012
Ruth Ann Wheeler DeBord, 56, of Louisa, Ky. passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 .
She was born December 4, 1955 in Louisa, Ky. to the late Ray Wheeler and Dorothy Juanita Austin Wheeler. She was a homemaker and the wife of John William DeBord for 33 years.
Survivors include her husband, John William DeBord, Louisa, Ky.; one daughter, Stacy Jordan, Louisa, Ky.; two sons, Joshua DeBord, Lexington, Ky. and William DeBord, Louisa,Ky.; two sisters, Linda Bolt and Wanda Parks of Louisa, Ky.; three brothers, Willis Wheeler of Texas, Ted Wheeler, Louisa, Ky., and Ron Wheeler of Illinois. Also nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home with Rev. Clifford Austin officiating. Burial will follow in the Wheeler Cemetery, Louisa, Ky. Visitation will be Friday 5:00 til 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home. Family will gather at 4:00 p.m.

Michael Shane Laney, 46, of Louisa, Ky. passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center of Louisa, KY.

Iris Jean Reed, 84, of Louisa, Ky. passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Ky. She was born February 2, 1928 in Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Irvin and Mary Slone Priddy. She was a housewife and a member of the Fort Gay Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Sherman Reed and one daughter, Lana Ann Reed.
Survivors include one daughter, Priscilla Sue Barker of Sevierville, TN, one son, John S. Reed, Jr. of Paintsville, Ky. one brother, Jimmy Priddy of Finley, Ohio, two sisters; Goldie Harrold of Carrie, Ohio, and Dorothy Swinehart of Ohio, special friends, Sammy and Tammy Howell and Myrtle King, seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday at Fort Gay Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Kimble Copley officiating. Burial will follow at the Howell-Reed Cemetery, Louisa, Ky. under the direction of Young Funeral Home, Louisa, Ky.
Visitation will be 2:00 pm til 9:00 pm Wednesday.
Carl B. Warf
1942 - 2012
Carl B. Warf, 70, of Adams, KY passed away quietly Saturday October 6 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY.
Carl was born July 29, 1942 at McCarr, KY, he was one of ten children born to Fred and Edith DeHart Warf. He was a graduated from Belfrey High School class of 1961. Carl joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at McQuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. After being honorly discharged he returned to the Eastern Kentucky/South West Virginia coalfields and was employed by C & P Telephone of West Virginia retiring after 34 years with perfect attendence throughout. Carl then worked for an additional 15 years as an independent contractor in the telecommunication industry some of this in Alaska, a country he truly loved.
Carl was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Apperson 195 F&AM, and a Kentucky Colonel.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Bobby and Tommy and a sister Annette.
Survivors include his loving wife Sally Lee Warf, a daughter Carla Adams of Huntington, WV; two sons Johnny Warf and wife Carol of Toler, KY and Jody Warf and wife Tellia of Louisa, KY; a special nephew Raymond Lee of Newport, KY; brothers Al of Ohio, Bruce of Virginia, Freddy of Montana, Mike of South Carolina, Mark of West Virginia, and a sister Meryleen also of West Virginia; seven grandchildren Natalie, Marina, Clay, Lauryn, Jacob, Easton, and Parker.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Donna Aros on Tuesday Oct. 9 at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens Louisa, KY.
Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday Oct. 8 at the Wilson Funeral Home. Masonic services by members of the Apperson Lodge will be held at 7:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Joyce Ann Dixon
1941 - 2012
Joyce Ann Dixon, 71, of Meades Branch went to be with her Lord on Friday October 5, 2012.
Joyce was born Aug. 9, 1941 in Louisa, KY, the daughter of the late James Monroe Adkins and Telia Mae Kise. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Russell Dixon who died in 2005, a daughter Karen Dixon and a granddaughter Bobbie Jean Castle.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Don Shannon of Louisa, three sons Ernest Dixon and wife Carla, James Dixon, and Mark Dixon and wife Dawn all of Louisa; 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday Oct. 8th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Dixon Cemetery at Meades Branch.

Buddy Ray Moore, age 57, of Louisa, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at home in Louisa. Buddy was born March 12, 1955 in Inez, KY. He is the son of McKinley and the late Alma (Mullins) Moore.
He was a coal miner.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Preece) Moore and one daughter, Monica O'Brian of Louisa, KY, his father, McKinley Moore; Brother of four sisters; Lucille Chapman of Louisa, KY, Barbara Lawson of Rogersville, TN, Lucy Messer of Columbus, OH, Rebecca Winston of Columbus, OH and three brothers; Ricky Moore of Louisa, KY, Eddie Moore of Louisa, KY, Mike York of Louisa, KY; son-in-law, Travis O'Brian of Louisa, KY; stepmother, Jenny Moore.
Predeceased by his brother, McKinley Moore Jr., an infant grandson, mother, Alma York.

Jack Alex Rice
1922 - 2012
Jack Alex Rice, 89, of Louisa, Ky. went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 30, 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Ky.
Born November 13, 1922 in Louisa, Ky., he was the son of the late Emma Short Rice and David Elijah Rice. He was a graduate of Louisa High School. Jack retired from General Motors Delco in Dayton, Ohio where he worked as a milling machine operator for forty years.
Jack served in the United States Navy during World War II on a landing craft in Okinawa. He was a member of the Apperson Masonic Lodge #195.
Jack loved God and was a member of the Savage Memorial Church. He treasured and loved his family and loved to sit and talk for hours with his friends and family. In the spring he looked forward to putting out his garden, and in his earlier life loved fishing and hunting. His dog, 'Happy Feet', was a very special member of the family to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Francis "Jackie" Rice, one son, Johnny Mack Savage, two sisters; Dorothy Moore and Sara Rice, three brothers and three sisters-in-law; David E. (Elizabeth) Rice, Thomas (Elizabeth) Rice, and James French (Laura) Rice, two nephews; David Eli Moore, and Paul Rice.
Survivors include seven children including two daughters; Sara "Penny" (Morgan) May, Webbville, Ky., and Deborah (Mitch) Gilliam, Louisa, Ky., five sons; Randy (Alesia) Rice, Louisa, Ky., Greg (Penny) Rice, Louisa, Ky., Gary (Margie) Savage, Sandusky, Ohio, Jack (Linda) Savage, Louisa, Ky., and Jess (Bertha) Savage, Louisa, Ky., one brother-in-law, Ralph Moore, Louisa, Ky., twelve grandchildren; Morgan May, Kayla Gilliam, Jacquelyn Rice, Gary Savage, Sandra Ortner, Dedra Hensley, Jack Savage, Teresa Barney, Jeffery Savage, David Savage, Tina Ramey and Janie Savage, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held 4:30 - 9:00 pm Tuesday October 2, 2012 at Young Funeral Home, Louisa, Ky.
Funeral services will be conducted at Savage Memorial Church in Fallsburg on October 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jack Savage and Rev. Keith Workman officiating.
Interment will be at the Bernard Yates Cemetery.
Dennis Edward Lemaster
1950 - 2012
Dennis Edward Lemaster, 61, of Ft. Gay, W.Va. passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Ky. He was born October 10, 1950 in Mansfield, Ohio a son of the late Jay and Irene Newcomb Lemaster. He was a preacher and was also a retired truck driver. He was ordained through the Interprise Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife, Judy Kay Horn Lemaster, Ft. Gay, W.Va., two sons; John Lemaster of Broomfield, Colorado, and Mark Lemaster of Ft. Gay, W.Va., two sisters; Glenna Thompson of Mansfield, Ohio, and Sandy Lively, also of Mansfield, Ohio.
Memorial service will be conducted 7:00 pm October 2, 2012 at Upper Tabors Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

Jack Ray Ward
1936 - 2012
Jack Ray Ward, 76, of Louisa, Ky. passed from this earth to be with his heavenly father Friday, September 28, 2012 at his home.
Jack was born in Monclo, W.Va. January 16, 1936 to the late Lonnie and Ertle Kitchen Ward. He was a graduate of Louisa High School, served in the United States Army (Korean War veteran) and was a retired iron worker, a member of the American Legion Post 93 in Ceredo, W.Va. and an avid hunter always loving the outdoors.
Sadly, he leaves behind a son, Jack Ray Ward, Jr. and his wife Robin of East Liberty, Ohio, a daughter, Rhonda Kay Ward Alley and her husband, Greg, Ashland, Ky., a grandson, Nathan Alley, a brother, Todd Ward and his wife Carol of Louisa, Ky., two sisters; Celia Little of Minnie, Ky. and Ginn Thompson and her husband, Ernie of Louisa, Ky., the mother of his children, Wylodine Ward, formerly his wife, of Catlettsburg, Ky., and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were four brothers; Edgel, Loren, Martin and Johnny Ward, two sisters; Ollie Prichard and Lottie Brumfield.
A memorial service for family and friends to honor him will take place at a later date.
Younf Funeral Home of Louisa, Ky. is in charge of arrangements.
Carlton Michael (Mike) Perry
1963 - 2012
Carlton Michael (Mike) Perry, 49, went to be with the Lord on Thursday September 27, 2012 at his home in Huntington, W.Va. He left this earth from natural causes.
Mike was born May 6, 1963 and lived in Dunlow, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Bil and Ethel Perry of Dunlow, W.Va., two brothers Norris and Roy Maynard and his father-in-law Frankie Salmons of Ft. Gay, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife of 30 wonderful years, Josie (Salmons) Perry, a son, Michael Perry and a daughter, Kaitlin (Katie) Perry, a granddaughter Bailey and a dog he loved named Bella.
He was a member of the Fort Gay Freewill Baptist Church for 29 years and served as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher for six years.
Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Vernie Salmons, brothers-in-law; Eugene (Willa) Salmons, Mitchell (Malinda) Salmons and Kenny (Diana) Salmons, three nieces; Mandy Duke, Miranda Pertee and Sandra Adkins, ten nephews; Franklin Salmons, Corey Salmons, Barry Salmons, Brian Sparks, Jamie Newsome, DJ Salmons, Jason Salmons, Ken Salmons, Roy Gene Maynard and Sammy Maynard.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday at Fort Gay Freewill Baptist Church, Ft. Gay, W.Va officiated by Kimble Copley and Luther Dingess. Singing will be by Ashley Kidd. Burial will follow at the Webb Cemetery, Webb, W.Va. under the direction of Young Funeral Home, Louisa, Ky.

Ardyth Juanita Owen Keeton
1920 - 2012
Ardyth Juanita Owen Keeton, 92, of Louisa, Ky. passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at her home. She was born August 8, 1920 in Hopkinsville, Ky. a daughter of the late George Bryan and Mary Jane Yancey Owen. She attended Bethel College, Kentucky Wesleyan College and got her Masters Degree from Marshall University. She taught English and Latin for 40 years in the Lawrence County School system. She loved her family , her flowers and her dog, Gingham. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William R. "Bill" Keeton and her brother, Virgil Owen.
Survivors include her four children; Ardyth Anne Keeton Bierley (David) of Cincinnati, Ohio, William Randolph II (Kim) of Louisa, Ky., Margaret K. Eaton (Steve) of Atlanta, Ga., Elizabeth K. Livelsberger (Lynn) of Ashland, Ohio, 10 grandchildren; Erin Keeton Evans, Kelly (Will) Yeiser, Lindsay (Billy) Packer, Todd (Jess) Livelsberger, David (Brandi) Eaton, Lauren (Matt) Cost, Tara (Chris) Sams, Laura Keeton, Anna Kitchen, and Emma Keeton, nine great grandchildren, Syndey, Jack, Ayton, Everleigh, Dylan, Naomi, Kherington, Philippa and Branch. Two brothers; Brian Yancey Owen and Austin Owen, both of Florida.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Louisa United Methodist Church with Rev. Guy Moyer and Bro. Ric Frazier officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Woody Lee Chaffins of 7062 North Highway 3, Louisa, KY died Sunday, September 23, 2012 at home in Louisa.
He is survived by his wife, Brandy Lynn (Everhart) Chaffins, two daughters; Haley Leigh-Ann Chaffins and and Casey Lynn Chaffins both of Louisa.
The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Wednesday at his home with Rev. Bobby Workman officiating.
Calling hours will be Tuesday after 3:00 pm at his home.

Willard C. Bailey, Sr., age 83, of Louisa, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Boyd Nursing And Rehab Center of Ashland, KY. Willard was born June 14, 1929 in Louisa, KY. He is the son of the late Robert Lee and the late Virginia Bailey. He was predeceased by his wife, Fayetta Moore Bailey who died in 1989.
He served in the Army during the the Korean war. He was employed by Norfork & Western Railroad as a Cook.
He is survived by one daughter: Angela Stapleton of Columbus, OH and a son: Marvin Bailey of Columbus, OH, Brother of one sister: Lucille Rice of Ashland, KY; he also has nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 11:30 am on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Isaac Park Church, Isaac Park Road, Louisa, KY. Burial will be in Bailey Cemetery, Chapman, KY.
Friends may call after 5:00 pm Monday and until time of services at the Isaac Park Church, Louisa, Kentucky.

Hattie Iolene Meredith, 85, of Fort Gay, W.Va. passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at JJ Jordan Geriatric Center in Louisa, Ky. She was born October 9, 1926 in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Frank and Susie Akers Fortner. She was a housewife and was a member of Mount Zion Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Meredith, and one son, Forest Meredith.
Survivors include two daughters; Margaret Sturgill of Ft. Gay, W.Va., and Dixie (Roger) Kitchen of Louisa, Ky., two sons; Terry (DeAnna) Meredith of Fort Gay, W.Va., and Chester (Dorothy) Meredith, also of Ft. Gay, three sisters; Retah Nelson of Phornix, Arizona, Wanda Rencsok, Lebanon, Ohio, and Sheila Sharp, Elyria, Ohio, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Christian Cemetery, Ft. Gay, W.Va.

Edna Fraley Thompson Leverett
1923 - 2012
Edna Fraley Thompson Leverett, 88, of Louisa, Ky. passed away Saturday morning September 22, 2012. She was born November 26, 1923 at Georges Creek, Ky., a daughter of the late Jim and Rhoda Payne Fraley. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Onna L. Thompson and Ralph Leverett. She was also preceded in death by her five brothers and three sisters and a daughter, Joyce Thompson. Edna retired from Wellman's hardware, Louisa and was a life-long member of the Mary Emily Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy Leon (Julie) Thompson of Loveland, Co., three daughters; Peggy L. (Bernard) Nelson of Louisa, Ky., Patty (Mac) Farrell of Rush, Ky., and Bessie (Paul) Chandler also of Louisa, Ky. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Young Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Hickory Hill Cemetery, Louisa, Ky. under the direction of Young Funeral Home, Louisa, Ky.

Sydney Harrison Hamilton, 69, of Ft. Gay, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept, 21, 2012 surrounded by his family at Emogene Dolin Hospice House. He was the son of the late Thomas and Phyllis Maynard Hamilton of Ft. Gay, W.Va.. He was a retired welder for the W.Va. Dept. of Highways.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Doris Sue Harvey Hamilton of Ft. Gay, W.Va., his five children; Lisa Lou Nelson, Ft. Gay, W.Va., William and Kim Hamilton of Cardington, Ohio, James and Melissa Hamilton of Ft. Gay, W.Va., Brenda and Coy Robertson of Ft. Gay, W.Va., and Karen and Gary Ferguson, of Linwood, N.C., two sisters; Regina Ball of Rittman, Ohio and Lorana Gainok of Norwalk, Ohio, 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was born August 28, 1948 in Louisa, Ky., a daughter of the late Charlie and Tennie Berry Adkins. She was secretary for Ft. Gay Middle School and was a member of the Ft. Gay Women's Club, a troop leader for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scout troop 165 of Ft. Gay, W.Va. She was also a member of Bartram Chapel Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a special niece, Nancy Bess Hensley, and two brothers; Randall Diamond and Gene Adkins.
Survivors include her loving husband Dick Crabtree of Ft. Gay, W.Va., one son Rich (Leigh Anna) Crabtree, Ft. Gay, W.Va., one brother, Bob Adkins of Ft. Gay, W.Va., one sister, Mary Grider of Mesa, Arizona , four grandchildren; Cindy Smiley, Kenova, W.Va., Cody Crabtree of Russell, Ky., Charlie Crabtree of Ft. Gay, W.Va., and Ali Crabtree also of Ft. Gay, W.Va., two great granddaughters, Autumn Ferguson of Kenova, W.Va., and Adaiah Ferguson, also of Kenova.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, September 21, 2012 at Salt Petre Christian Baptist Church with pastor Richard Maynard, Rev. Mack Ray Cyrus, and Joey Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at Ferguson Cemetery, Ft. Gay, W.Va.

Dr. John Nicholas Ryan
1918 - 2012
John Nicholas Ryan, DMD, 93, of Louisa, Ky. passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Ky. Dr. Ryan was born October 24, 1918 in Louisa, Ky., the son of Charles C. and Mary Waldeck Ryan. He was a dentist and former Louisa High School teacher. He was a member of the Louisa United Methodist Church (considered to be the oldest living member), and taught Sunday school for more than fifty years. During WW II he was part of the Army Air Corps and was a trained air traffic controller. He received his undergraduate degreee from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia in 1942 and graduated from the University of Louisville College of Dentisty in 1952. He was a long time member of the Kentucky Historical Society, the Kentucky Civil War Round Table, and was a life member of the NRA. He served two terms as Lawrence County Coroner and was President of the Kentucky Coroners Association. He was also a member of the National and International Medical Examiners Association.
Surviving are his wife, Valeria Roberts Ryan of Louisa, one son, John Richard Ryan (Norma) of Lexington, Ky., and one stepson Alfred B. Murray (Rose Marie) of Fort Gay, West Virginia, one grandson, Richard Morgan Ryan (Danielle) of Charleston, West Virginia, one granddaughter, Dr. Elaine DeSario (David) of Louisa, Ky., and one great grandson, Alex DeSario of Louisa, Ky., one step great grandson, Jacob Young of Charleston, West Virginia and one step great granddaughter, Morgan Young of Charleston, West Virginia.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donna Aros officiating. Burial will be in Pinehill Cemetery in Louisa.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, Louisa, Ky.

Athilie Rutherford Thompson, 79, Ft. Gay, W.Va. went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, Ky. She was born October 26, 1932 in Ft. Gay, W.Va., a daughter of the late Corbett and Jean Adkins Rutherford. She was a Central Steriyle Supply Aide for Three Rivers Medical Center and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ft. Gay.
Athilie is survived by her beloved husband and best friend for 64 years, Robert Thompson of Ft. Gay, W.Va., daughter, Brenda Hughes, Louisa, Ky., son, Ronald (Judy) Thompson of Mt. Clair, W.Va., brother, Clinton (Pat) Rutherford, six grandsons; Shawn (Jenny) Hughes, Nick (Josie) Hughes, Jessie (Lori) Thompson, Jeremy (Samira) Thompson, Travis Hughes, Chad Hughes; Great Granddaughter, Shelbie Hughes, two step Great Grandsons; Joey and Gabe Castro. Several nieces and nephews.

Glenna June Schaffner, 70, of Louisa, Ky. passed away Sept. 16, 2012 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. She was born December 11, 1941 at Prichard, W.Va. a daughter of the late Dock and Lucy Bryant Akers. She was a laboratory technician.
Survivors include her husband, Phil Schaffner, three daughters; Dawn (Scott) Brown, Huntington, W.Va., Dana Line, East Point, Ky., and Denise (Mike) Hager, Ft. Gay, W.Va., two stepdaughters; Gail (Kevin) Stanley, Catlettsburg, Ky. and Angela Schaffner, also of Catlettsburg, Ky., one stepson, Chuck (Lorie) Schaffner, Grayson, Ky., one brother, Dock (Joy) Akers, Prichard, W.Va., fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at Young Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Steve Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Gilkerson Cemetery, Prichard W.Va. under the direction of Young Funeral Home, Louisa, Ky.

Lillian J. Skaggs, 83, of Ironton, Ohio, formerly of Martha, Ky. passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born January 4, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio. a daughter of the late John and Evelyn Stuber Valenti. She was a homemaker and member of the Brick Union Church of Lloyd, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Skaggs in 1998, one brother and three grandchildren.
Surviving is one daughter, Lois Ann Skaggs, Ironton, Ohio, two sons; Carl W. Skaggs, Jr. and wife Trudy, John H. Skaggs and wife Sherra of Westerville, Ohio, seven grandchildren; Steve Cappelear and wife Joy, Pattie Bellar, Melissa A. Neal and husband J.R., Sean A. Payne and Matthew R. Payne, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Debra Henson Lemaster, 61, of Louisa, Kentucky died Friday September 14, 2012 at the Bluegrass Hospice care Center in Lexington.
She was born July 16, 1951 at Camp Brackinridge, KY, the daughter of the late Arlie B. and Wilma Turner Thompson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son Arlie Jason Michael Holt, her maternal grandmother Iva Evans, and her paternal grandparents Arch and Nell Thompson.
She was a homemaker and member of the Rebekka Lodge.
Survivors include her husband Macky Lemaster of Louisa, two daughters Mindy Henson Peterman and fiance’ Michael Gilbert of Lawrenceburg, KY, Missy Henson of Lexington, KY, two grandchilden Stephen Peterman and Mariah Peterman of Lawrenceburg, KY, and great granddaughter Rayleigh Driskell of Lawrenceburg, KY, two sisters Vicki Painter of Milford, Ohio and Bobbi Compton of Georgetown, KY.
Other survivors include a niece, Kelli Painter of Richmond, KY and two special friends, Nancy Gibson of Louisa, KY and Debbi Hensley also of Louisa.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday September 17th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after noon Sunday at the Wilson Funeral Home.
