L to R Pat Machir, Caroline Clevenger and Richard Lambert
As part of our goal to focus attention on the importance of good oral health for the children of Lawrence County, the “Smile Savers” coalition sponsored a contest entitled “Keep Your 32” for the 9th grade students at Lawrence County High School. By completing her dental checkup and follow-up steps, Caroline Clevenger was the winner. At a presentation at LCHS on May 2, Caroline was presented with the grand prize of a complete teeth-whitening kit.
The “Keep Your 32” contest was held in conjunction with physical education/health teacher, Richard Lambert’s 9th grade classes. For his support and cooperation with the Health Department and “Smile Savers”, Mr. Lambert was also presented with a certificate of appreciation. During the school year, Mr. Lambert graciously welcomed Health Department employees to present programs on Human Papilloma Virus, smoking, oral tobacco, dental health and other subjects to his health classes.
The Lawrence County Health Department and “Smile Savers” wish to thank and congratulate Caroline and Mr. Lambert for their interest and promotion of good health.
